Dimensions Festival!!!

Dimensions Festival, set on the picturesque Adriatic, hijacks the Fort at Punta Christo the weekend after its older brother Outlook. Having made this location a mecca for bass music lovers, Dimensions makes use of the beautiful surroundings with a smaller capacity event and a slightly different take on sound focusing on House, Techno and the deeper end of the electronic spectrum.

Keeping themes from its originator, Dimensions will be set against the backdrop of the breathtaking abandoned fort. Located on a peninsula surrounded by crystal clear Adriatic waters, Dimensions combines sun-soaked beach parties by day with all night raving up at the fort until sunrise! The legendary Outlook boat parties also get a revamp as Dimensions takes command for the weekend.

With the first wave of artists announced it’s time for some more great additions to this already outstanding lineup. Dimensions is proud to host a four-piece band that have been catching peoples’ attention for some time now. Formed back in 1996, Little Dragon spent 10 years refining their sound before releasing their first single “Twice” in 2006. This release sparked interest across the music industry and quickly their thought provoking sound was everywhere. We can’t wait to have them at the fort this summer.

Dimensions also welcomes Jimmy Edgar to the line-up; at the tender age of 18 this Detroit born producer caught the attention of Warp Records with his sexed up, Jazz-Funk take on electronic music. Since then he has become one of the most exciting new artists in Techno. Now signed to German label K7, Jimmy Edgar has become well know for his steamy, sleaze driven tracks that still remain true to the sound of Detroit.

Another artist you should expect to see this year is no stranger to the Outlook and Dimensions family. Founder of the prolific Hyperdub label, Kode9 makes a welcome first appearance. Expect to hear the best in what this intensely watched DJ and producer has to offer.

Other great additions include British Minimal Techno producer Nathan Fake, Hessle Audio new signing Objekt and Berlin based production chameleon Machinedrum. Keeping our horizons broad, Dimensions also opens the gates to Amit who is well known for expressing the deeper side in Drum and Bass.

Drawing support from well known club nights, Dimensions has teamed up with some of the most like minded promoters across Europe. In its first year Dimensions will offer a platform for Sub:stance, Flux, Teif, Trix, Aka Aka Roar, Crazy Legs, Selective Hearing,  Eastern Bloc, Audio Donuts, Modern Amusement and Church at the Fort Punta Christo.

Labels confirmed for their own parties include German imprints Ostgut Ton, Leisure System, Belgian trend setter R&S Records, Londons Eglo, Exit Records, Hessel Audio and Swamp 81 all showcasing their talent.
